Waiting for Words

Three and a half years after the release of the album "A Mix Through The Night", WAITING FOR WORDS are back with a brand new 6 track EP, "The Curve", first of a 3 EP series that will be released in 2010.

This is the first release by the band on the British label Foundry Records who signed them a few wmonths after their awesome performance at Le Bataclan (with De/Vision & Onetwo) in September 2008.

Waiting For Words demonstrate that their songwriting skills for perfect pop songs are improving from year to year. The Curve, in it's original version or remixed, By Your Side and For All My Sins are instantly memorable catchy hits, with a darkness and melancholy as well, extremely well produced.
As per Cause I Do Believe, re-recorded and remixed, this is without a doubt the hymn of the band, that carries on through years without a wrinkle.

This EP brings a freshness to a style often limited by the weight of the influences, robotic rhythms and the pressure of the "How synthpop should sound like" debate amongst the fans.

Waiting For Words don't pay attention to that and still follow their own road. Their influences are certainly here, but extremely well assimilated and a real unique sound owned by the band only emerges: electronic live drums and percussions, charismatic voice, original synths... Their Live experience (probably one of the only bands of the French synth scene that tours constantly) mixed with the great production and visuals which has taken Waiting For Words to another level in their career.

The Curve EP has been mixed by Steve Prestage (Peter Gabriel, TC, Japan, Partenaire Particulier...) and contains participations by Creature XY from the band Foretaste and People Theatre who recently remixed Nitzer Ebb, I Am X, Trisomie 21, De/Vision and Anne Clark.

A Walk Through The Night, the 4th and previous album of the band (April '04) and it's remixed version A Mix Through The Night (March '06) featuring some of the finest acts of the European Electro scene have been critically acclaimed in France, Belgium, UK, Germany, Russia, US, Spain...: 11 tracks with a finely honed production, exploring pop, rock, trip-hop or New Wave influences

Those last 6 years allowed the band to install themselves as one of the major acts of the alternative electronic scene.

Live, the line up is completed V-Form, cult V-Jays, for video screenings, bringing a higher dimension to the live performaces of the band.

Media and audiences are impressed with the live power of the band and it's charismatic leader, ZeN who played to more than a thousand people, on September 20th '08 @ Le Bataclan, during the Intel-Surcouf Festival "La Nuit de l'Electro Live", where they shared the stage with no less than DE/VISION, the German cult band, and ONETWO, the band of Miss Claudia Bruken (Propaganda) and Paul Humphreys (OMD).

Waiting For Words has already started touring again in the UK, France and for the first time, in Germany (Electropop Festival with Universal Poplab, Ostricht, Pleasant Fiction... in Weisskollm and Berlin).

They performed on November 14th in Paris, @ Le Glazart, with the cult French new wave act TRISOMIE 21, and will hit the road again in Brittany on April 3rd and the band will celebrate their 20 years on April 9th in Paris
